Abstract
Background/Purpose: One of the newest tools of non-price competition is the introduction of a trademark, which has been examined in this paper. In Slovenia, a trademark in the field of sales of medical products or sanitary material in health institutes has not been introduced so far. The main goal of this paper is therefore to present our process approach to the introduction of a trademark, the problems that arise, and best practice. Such approach helped us achieve the set goals: we introduced a trademarke, increased its sales and consequently reduced the number of reclamations. The key to success is in the involvement of all employees and customers in strategic conception of a trademark, team work at all company levels, good knowledge of the market, process approach, not funkcional approach to introduction, and above all a clear vision of the management what they expect from a trademark. Key words: marketing, trademark, sanitary nonwoven material, process approach
Background/Purpose: There is a lot of writing about the learning organization and knowledge workers in the literature. But theoretical views are badly implementing in the practice. From author’s experiences individual people in the organizations have a lot of knowledge. But they do not use it, they not share it with others and organizations don’t use this knowledge for competitive advantage. There is a possibility for reducing this gap with the usage of the knowledge spiral. There is a leap in managers’ opinion needed for knowledge workers become a productive and prepared to share knowledge with others. Human potential which is not used in the organization could be reduced with associating and using knowledge workers and knowledge spiral theory. So the organizational knowledge could rise and the value of knowledge is used. Key words: knowledge workers, learning organization, knowledge, knowledge spiral.

Abstract
Background/Purpose: On the basis of information from various national studies in the EU it is estimated that an increasing number of small and medium-sized enterprises will face changes of owners-managers in the coming years. The main objective of the study, based on the sample of Slovenian small and medium-sized enterprises, was to find out how Slovenian owners-managers are preparing the management and ownership succession. The results indicate that one fifth of the surveyed ownersmanagers are preparing the transfer of management and/or ownership in the next five years. More than one fifth of those owners-managers, who are not preparing the transfer of management and/or ownership, share the opinion that “succession planning is not necessary”. As the succession planning is one of the main factors of the succession effectiveness, raising the owners’-managers’ awareness of the importance to start preparations and succession planning should be one of important measures of entrepreneurship policy. Key words: succession, succession planning, successor, small and mediumsized enterprises, family enterprise
