Specialities of Management in Public Utility Companies in Slovenia

Abstract

In the article authors are focusing on the management activity in public municipal companies and on the movements, which influenced on their relation to management. They are focusing especially on the specialties of public companies, which influence on the role of managers in public companies and show personal characteristics of managers in mentioned companies in Slovenia. They also show the use of managerial techniques and factors which influence positive or negative on their work. The results of the research carried out with the help of questionnaire show that managers in public companies are not as efficient as they could or should be.They have different personal characteristics, priorities and also relation to managerial techniques.
