Separation in Professional and Business Management Function
Abstract
The old and ossified systems of public service management, with their strong premise of self-sufficiency, are a thing of the past, and are condemned to ruin despite the financial support by the state budget. However in the area of higher education we are still in a period of transition and adaptation. In our efforts to achieve comparability between Slovenian and European study programmes we should not neglect the problem of organization and management of the institutions of higher education. The purpose of this paper is to warn of the necessity of the actualization of problems in university management and ensuring an asymmetric distribution of authority in management of the institution. We present the legal possibilities for the formation of a slightly different and more modern method of university management. Key words: university, administration organization, management, authorities, responsibilitiesDownloads
